Privacy Policy

The Glamour PhotoJournalist is a photography archive: glamour and fashion photographs, the short story behind each one, and a section of the archive for every person photographed. There are no visitor accounts on this site — you flip, you read, you follow by feed. This page says plainly what is stored along the way.

The posting account. One account runs this archive — the photographer's. Its password is kept on the server only as a one-way hash; it is never stored or sent in readable form.

Comments. If you leave a comment on a photograph, the name you give (or “Guest” when you give none) and the words you write are stored with that photograph and shown publicly on its page. Do not put anything in a comment you would not want the world to read.

Likes, counted in totals. When you like a photograph, the archive adds one to that photograph's count. The count is a number, not a list of people.

Server logs. The hosting server keeps the usual technical logs — internet address, browser type, the pages visited and when — so the site can be run and kept secure.

Orders. Buying a photograph starts with an email. If you write about an order, that exchange is kept in the mailbox so the order can be completed and your full-resolution download delivered.

One cookie remembers your likes. It carries the name of the photograph you liked and nothing else, so the same browser cannot like a photograph twice. It lasts a year and is never used to follow you around the web.

Following is kept in your own browser. When you follow a person in the archive, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device — it is not sent to the server, and there is no follow list with your name on it anywhere.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own.

Some stories carry videos hosted by YouTube or Vimeo and played here in an embedded player. When a video plays, that service may set its own cookies and handle your visit under its own privacy policy. Videos you upload directly to the archive are stored on this site and carry no third-party cookies.

Some photographs carry a “Shop the look” strip: links to the pieces in the picture, sold by the shops behind the links. Those are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, this site earns from qualifying purchases — when you buy through a shop link, the shop pays a small commission that supports the archive, at no extra cost to you.

Nothing stored here is sold, rented or traded. Comment names and words are public because you posted them on a public page; beyond that, what the archive stores stays in the archive, and the logs stay on the server.

If a comment of yours should come down, if your section of the archive needs a correction, or if you have any question about privacy here, write to the archive. The same address takes the claim requests from the box at the bottom of every person's page.
